Thudlife is a lifestyle.
Actually, it's a humorous spin off gangster thug life, but if you have been skating for decades and still skate then you've taken countless slams;  each time hitting that ground with a thud. Been livin' a Thudlife. Skaters aren't the only ones out there eating shit so obviously, Thudlife isn't exclusive to skateboarders, but that's what we do, so that's how we relate to the term.

So what's behind never quit? Easy. If you keep doing something, you do it because you love it and its a passion of yours. Despite the hurdles of life you continue to keep pushing and don't give up. You don't quit. This is an outlook already ingrained in most skaters just based on the nature of learning to skate. When a trick is hard to learn or land you power through, keep persistent, and don't quit until you get it. It could be hours, days, months, or even years. Point is we respect the dedication it takes to stick with something and see it through to becoming an accomplishment.

Thudlife is also blue-collar. We realize most skaters never make it to the big leagues where they can earn the money needed to live only from skating. To those that have reached that level, congratulations! You are a rare and talented bunch. For all the rest, you need to carve out a different career path and most skaters choose jobs in the trades. Hard but rewarding work. We celebrate the work hard play hard platitude. Don't be a slacker! Show up to your job on time every day, do your best work with a good attitude and then punch out at the end of the day with pride and satisfaction of a solid day's work. Remember to reward yourself for your efforts, you earned it.

Don't steal from people. Don't abuse or take advantage of people. Don't bully people. Replace, fix, or pay for shit you brake. Return what you borrow. Don't be a dick. Don't whine and complain about shit. Pick up your dog shit. Don't take any shit, stick up for yourself.  Believe in yourself. Stick up for others. Punish those that do you & your loved ones harm. Don't be a sheep and follow the masses. Be unique. Be honest. Be rad. Be bad ass. Live a good life and have fun.
